Build your own electric guitar with the Haze GKHSLPP19380B DIY Guitar Kit. This kit includes the main parts and hardware you need to create and finish your own instrument, making it a great project for guitar players, hobbyists and first-time builders.

The guitar features a solid basswood body, set maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, two Alnico V humbuckers and silver hardware. The electronics use Plug-n-Play connectors, so no soldering is required during assembly.

Because this is a set-neck kit, the neck must first be correctly positioned and glued into the body. The bridge and tailpiece holes are therefore not pre-drilled. After the neck is installed, you can measure the correct bridge position and drill the holes to ensure the strings line up properly with the neck.

This also gives you more freedom to customise your build, including the option of fitting a Bigsby-style vibrato tailpiece instead of the standard stop tailpiece.

You will only need some basic tools, wood glue and your choice of paint, stain or finishing materials to complete your own unique guitar.

Please Note:

This is a set-neck guitar kit, so the bridge and tailpiece holes are intentionally not pre-drilled. The neck needs to be glued and positioned correctly first, and then the bridge position can be measured and drilled to ensure the strings line up straight with the neck. If the holes were drilled before the neck was joined, there is a risk that the bridge alignment may not be perfectly straight.

This design also gives you the option to install a Bigsby-style vibrato tailpiece instead of the standard tailpiece if you prefer.

So yes, the kit is supplied this way intentionally rather than having the bridge and tailpiece holes pre-drilled.
