The JOYO R09 “Vision” is a versatile dual-channel modulation pedal designed to deliver a wide range of atmospheric, rhythmic and expressive modulation tones in a single compact unit. Featuring two independent modulation modules, each with 9 selectable effects, Vision provides an impressive 18 modulation effects with separate controls for speed/rate, character and depth/mix.

Designed with stereo input and output, the R09 offers flexible signal routing for both mono and stereo setups. A central 3-position toggle switch allows the two modulation channels to be configured in different routing arrangements, while independent Tap Tempo control for each channel provides precise tempo-based modulation.

This dual-module design allows Vision to cover everything from subtle modulation and movement to more pronounced, layered and experimental textures.

Dual-Channel Routing

The central toggle switch provides flexible routing between MODE A and MODE B, allowing the two modulation sections to operate in different configurations.

• Series routing - MODE A and MODE B operate sequentially
• Parallel routing - the two modulation sections can operate alongside the dry signal or each other
• Multiple routing combinations for layered modulation textures

This makes the R09 particularly versatile for building complex modulation sounds from a single pedal.

Independent Tap Tempo

Both modulation channels feature their own Tap Tempo functionality, allowing the modulation rate of each section to be synchronised independently.

The dedicated footswitches also serve as the individual channel controls, with tempo indication provided by the corresponding blue status LEDs when Tap Tempo is active.

Stereo Input & Output

The Vision supports stereo connectivity through dual 6.35mm input and output connections.

True Bypass

The R09 uses a True Bypass signal path, helping preserve the instrument's original signal when the pedal is bypassed.

Ambience Lighting

The pedal features integrated blue ambience lighting with three selectable settings:

• SYNC - lighting follows the pedal's active/bypass status
• ALWAYS - ambience light remains illuminated
• OFF - ambience lighting disabled
